WELCOME!!!This is an Archive of all the recordings & vids & musical ventures I've managed to get a copy of, hope you enjoy, cheers ;)
TURD
TURD was my first & most fun band, my very first musical venture, its where I
learn't my craft & everyday I think about & thank these boys for
bringing out the musician in me, especially Robbie-J for the many
guitar lessons & life lessons we shared. We were 3 friends that put
together a band purely for the free beer at the pub ;) & great times
they were. It was the golden days of youth & fun times, learning so
much at every band practice & gig, & having fun everywhere we
went. TURD was the perfect name for our band, wanting no expectations,
just to have some fun :) it wasn't long before we
had a regular gig at the local pub & many bands & friends to
open up for all over Melbourne & Victoria. Highlight gigs were
opening for "The Cosmic Psychos", "The Dirty Three" & "Testeagles"
but for me everything was a highlight, Jamming & writing music at
home in the garage, recording for students at sound courses, making our
own demo's at Trueform recording studio's(Home of Dean
Fisher & "The Living End") especially making 3 Filmclips at the
Channel 9 studios in Melbourne, Thanks to Robbies big brother Brendon
Madden(& also Andrew Riddell who rescued our broken down van &
got us to the studio in time....LEGEND:)) Man I miss those days &
would love to go back & do it all again :) check out the filmclips
& selected recordings below, & charge your glass to Robbie-J, 'A
LEGEND' taken from us before his time. R.I.P Brother

Was just going to be Rhythm Guitar & Vocals with Daniel Noss playin some Bongo's to keep me in time but as luck had it, there was a full drumkit set up in the studio when we got there, so we got to work :) drinkin n jammin n partyin on, had a ball & managed to get 6 songs with Drums,Percussion, Rhythm Guitars & vocals recorded, Now we just needed some Bass...just so happened the bloke workin the service counter was a very talented bassplayer & an awesome dude....enter Johnny Barefoot, a 6ft5" Maori Boy, Nailed the bass first take everytime pretty much...AWESOME I was ABSOLUTELY STOKED!!!Project Finished,Time to Celebrate, Relax n PARTYON some more...somewhere in the HAZE of the(now known as the) 'Let Me Sleep Sessions' The ultra-Talented Bluesman, Ash Dilorenzo, had been in hospital having gallstones removed....he'd heard we were partyin at the studio, doin some recording & promptly checked himself out(he probably bust out)loaded up on painkillers & proceeded to pimp my tracks with lead guitar & keys giving the songs a whole new feeling & Dimension.
